Human Knot

Divide your group into circles of 10-12 people, each facing inward. Everyone then reaches across with one arm and grabs someone else’s hand, interweaving hands and arm in a random fashion. Do the same for the other hand. Next comes the challenge. Try to get everyone back into a perfect circle while still holding hands. Letting go is not an option. It takes communication, cooperation and a sense of humor. You will need to go through, under, over, etc. people’s arms until you are successful.

One Mission - Got it!

Got it!
The focus of this day is to understand that those who GOT IT have a heart that is impacted by Jesus, which in turn impact every area of their life.
Warmup
Your athletic career is over; you are at your Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The emcee for the evening is going to introduce you and all of your life’s achievements. Provide for them what you would want them to say in your introduction – both things that you have accomplished and things you would like to accomplish. Don’t limit to just athletic achievements. What would you want them to say about your character? Your lifestyle?
With a partner share the key accomplishments that the emcee will highlight.
Introduction - Daniel Study

I am excited about the journey you are about to take through the book of Daniel. It is an awesome book with some familiar stories about the lion’s den and fiery furnace. The truths in this book will greatly challenge you in the areas of courage, boldness, faith and security in God alone. I have been greatly humbled by the courage and faith of Daniel, Hanniah, Mishael and Azariah. They were faithful to God from their teens to their 80s. They are great examples and role models for trusting God in tough times. As you study this book, I would like for you to keep in mind several things that will assist your understanding:
To Whom be the Glory?

Do you remember the first time you scored in sports? Maybe it was a touchdown, a basket, a kill, a home run or a match point. For a lot of us, once it happened, we could hardly resist telling everyone about it.
As we get older, the stakes seem to get higher—the significance greater. Game-winning goals, last-second stops on the goal-line, blocked shots, fourth-quarter buzzer-beaters, walk-off home runs…We’re not playing t-ball anymore. The plays we make as we age can win or lose games and even championships. And if we’re involved in successfully making those plays, it’s often hard to contain our pride. We want to ask people, “Did you hear about what I did?” or, “Did you see my [fill in the blank] play?” It’s so easy to bask in the glory of our own self-righteousness.

Human Knot

The group starts out in one or two tight circles. Everyone in the group reaches across the circle with their right hand to grab another group member’s right hand (do not grab hands with the person next to you). The group then reaches in with their left hand to grab a different group member’s left hand. The object is to untangle the group without letting go of hands until a circle is formed. If the group is having extreme difficulty, you can administer “knot first-aid&

Leave A Good Health Legacy
We all want to leave a mark. It’s something God hardwired into us. It’s not uncommon to hear someone say, “I want to leave the world a better place.” By definition, the word “legacy” means, “something we receive from someone who went before us.”

Questions:
1. If your life was a movie, how would you describe the ending in regards to Heaven?
2. Do you find comfort in knowing your eternity is secure through faith in Christ?
3. If not, are you certain of your eternal destiny? Do you know for sure whether or not you are going to Heaven when you die?
4. How can you be sure where you will go when you die? (If you have questions, go to www.morethanwinning.org.)
5. How can focusing on eternity with Christ help you remain calm in life’s storms?
Second-Half Strong

One of the worst feelings in sports is losing after having a big lead. Most of us have been a part of a game in which we got ahead early and then watched a victory slip away. We never see it coming because we become so comfortable with the position we’ve gained that we assume we’re not vulnerable and we slack off. Maybe we play around with the ball in the backfield, or we slow our pace. We might even quit completely or forget some of the fundamentals of the game because of how blind we’ve become.
Home Stretch: Gerald McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Growing up in Oklahoma City, or “the 405,” as I’ve always called it, I was in church 17 days a week, 100 hours a day. My mom was the choir director, my dad played the drums, and both taught Sunday school. That was my childhood.

Part I

- Think of the people in your life who watch your example. How do you model Christ to them?
- In what ways do you lead them away from Christ?
- Read Titus 2. What category do you fall under?
- What does that passage say about how you should lead your life?
- What do you need to change as a result?
In Over Your Head?

Splashing furiously, I tried desperately to outswim my younger sister. As I reached through the water with every ounce of strength in my 16-year-old body, my lungs and muscles burned. I looked up at the clock. She’d beaten me…again. I was crushed. The pain my body experienced couldn’t compare to the pain I felt inside—the jealousy and anger and failure. Nothing mattered except the reality that I had lost to my fiercest competitor.

More Getting to Know You (10 Minutes)
Choose another Conversation Starter from page 20.
The Roster (5 Minutes)
If all Huddle members have not filled out the roster, make sure that it is completed at this meeting. (Make sure that this is returned to the Huddle Leader Coordinator after the Huddle meeting. This will allow them to check who is missing and if there is anyone who has checked in but is not with his/her Huddle.)
Reflect on the Day and the Evening Program (10 Minutes)
The Time is Now

Have you ever experienced a critical game situation in which your coach said, “We are going to win the game on this possession.” Maybe your basketball coach saw a mismatch in the post or your football coach was confident that a post pattern would score a touchdown. And, sure enough, your team runs the play, and the coach’s call works exactly as planned.
Most likely, your coach knew that the play was going to work for that moment. It wasn’t for later in the game or even later in the season, but for that exact time and situation. Each player left the huddle with the utmost belief that it was going to work. According to the coach, the timing was perfect. They think, “Coach said it’s going to work, so it HAS to work.”

In It Together

Legendary University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball coach Pat Summitt was diagnosed with early onset dementia. The 59-year-old, winningest college basketball coach of all time, made the announcement and would attempt to continue coaching as long as she could.
It was a shocking announcement not only to UT fans, but to sports fans in general. Summitt had always seemed so indestructible. But even the strongest of men and women still face challenges in life that are common to everyone.
